WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT!

Did you know that we have a wonderful wildlife trail in Todmorden, within walking distance or a short bus ride (Service T1 )from the town centre, and which is open to public access at all times?
THIS YEAR the trail is undergoing an exciting revamp, with Calderdale council contributing hundreds of wildflower plugs,
and plenty of help and advice has been forthcoming from both your 'Bloom' team and the Council
The front of the school is also experiencing a transformation, with lots of new planting and willing effort from bands of volunteers!
A webcam has been set up in a blue tit nestbox (birds now in residence!)which now links to a monitor in the school ,and there are plans afoot to extend this to a public viewing facility! Watch this space for developments!
Exploration of the trail would reveal plenty of wonderful surprises, including willow sculpture and a vegetable-growing area looked after by the school gardening club, and a butterfly and moth 'bar', featuring nectar-rich blooms. Trail leaflets are being designed this term by the school, and new information boards are planned!

Have you or your family visited the trail yet? By now the fruit blossom in the revamped orchard area will have been gracing the trees for a while. Do go and have a look!
CAN WE REMIND YOU, HOWEVER, that as this is a public area, we do rely on YOU to respect and help look after it. If you see some litter that has blown there or has been dropped, then PLEASE pick it up!
