Todmorden will be bloomin' marvellous!
By the time you read this article, your Todmorden in Bloom team will have had two 'walkabouts'
along the proposed judging route, carefully chosen to reflect our 2006/07 main 'Bloom' effort.
This was done together with one of our official Britain in Bloom mentors, who was there to look at our town objectively, and discuss the tasks ahead of us.
In the very useful first session, he looked at areas making wonderful progress, such as Fielden Wharf, and found himself looking at some of the detail immediately surrounding the feature, which were noticably needing some attention. We can't expect the judges to avert their eyes from such things just because they are being shown something else! Areas which are the particular responsibility of Calderdale Council were discussed, as there are a number of features which urgently need tidying-up attention.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP, IN LITTLE WAYS WHICH HELP A LOT!
DO take care when parking! We do appreciate that Bramsche Square space allocation is a little skimpy, but the tree-surrounds are to be planted with crocus bulbs. PLEASE take extra care to avoid these!
DO please report any grot spots to us that are in need of care and attention, Better still, get together with a friend and do something about it! For help and advice phone the Tod Together office on 01706 548133
DONT FORGET TO HAVE BLOOMING GOOD FUN!
